The Police Regional Office (PRO-6) honored partners of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) for helping ensure peace and order.
Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño acknowledged local government units (LGUs), barangay officials and other partners for their role in Project R.T.T. 3389 or the Restrict, Track, and Turn-In program that aims to curb the existence of illegal firearms across Western Visayas.
In Capiz alone, 565 loose firearms from 573 barangays were voluntarily surrendered to the police.
Governor Fredenil Castro, 1st District Congressman Ivan Howard Guintu and 2nd District Congresswoman Jane T. Castro were presented with plaques during Tuaño’s first command visit at Camp Apil in Roxas City last October 5, 2026.
Plaques were also given to Mayors Ronnie Dadivas of Roxas City, Jonathan Besa of Panay, Kit Dequiña-Belo of Panitan, Henry Tumlos of Pontevedra, Receliste Escolin of President Roxas, Arnold Perez of Pilar, Raymond Malapajo of Maayon, Felipe Yap of Ivisan, Joe Villanueva of Sapian, Leodegario Labao of Mambusao, Dante Rizal Eslabon of Sigma, Jose Jimbo Barruela of Dao, Stephen Chris Openiano of Cuartero, Matt Hachuela of Dumarao, Khuku Castro of Dumalag, Donnah Valdemar of Jamindan, and Dante Palomar of Tapaz.
Outstanding cops
Tuaño also assisted CPPO Director Colonel David Cachumbo Jr. and PRO-6 Chief of the Regional Staff Colonel Jerome Afuyog Jr. (former CPPO director) in awarding outstanding cops.
Awarded the Medalya ng Kagalingan were Colonel Francisco Paguia and Corporal Rafael Rio Christie Estorque of 1st Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company. They successfully arrested a most wanted person for murder in Pontevedra last September 30.
The same medals were also awarded to Captain Jobert De Los Reyes and Master Sergeant Rowelyn Ton-ogan of President Roxas Municipal Police Station for an operation that arrested a suspect who had 23 grams of suspected shabu and a gun.
Lieutenant Colonel Chris Arthemus Deveras and Master Sergeant Johnny Delos Santos of CPPO Provincial Intelligence Unit were awarded the Medalya ng Papuri for arresting a suspect with an M16 rifle, four short firearms, a fragmentation grenade, assorted magazines, and ammunition in Pontevedra.
