THE month-long sports fest of the Capiz Provincial Police Office kicked off on July 5 at the
police provincial headquarters at Loctugan Hills, Roxas City.
Provincial Administrator Arthur John Binas, who represented Gov. Fredinel Castro, was the guest of honor.
Binas lauded this effort of the police because exercise and sports boost brain power.
He also said it is necessary because it has a good effect on the human body in all aspects.
Col. Winston de Belen, CPPO director, said the participants also included personnel from the Bureau of
Fire Protection, the Philippine Army, and the Philippine Coast Guard.
The activity kicked off with a caravan of the participating teams and members of the Capiz
Provincial Advisory Group headed by Ivan Chu.
The sportsfest will culminate on July 31.*
