Roxas City is top 10 in ‘Most Improved Cities’

THE city of Roxas has inched its way to the Top 10 of the 2022 Most Improved Rankings for Component City Category of the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI).

This was announced during the 10th Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Summit presented by the
Competitiveness Bureau of DTI, Oct. 20, at the Philippine International Convention
Center in Pasay City.

Visayas region, were cited Top 1 and Top 2 winners for the category, respectively, while the Top 3 spot were shared by the Maasin in Southern Leyte and Igacos of Davao Del Norte.
“This is what it means to have a stake in our progress and development,” said Roxas City mayor Ronnie Dadivas in a social media post on the city’s CMCI feat.

CMCI is an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities developed by the National Competitiveness Council through the Regional Competitiveness Committees (RCCs) with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development. (PIA Capiz)
