ROXAS CITY – Some 1,570,375 trees were planted in Capiz province in 2020.
The Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural Resource Office launched the project in June and in November.
On the last day of the tree planting activity, at least 1,397 tree seedlings were planted at Alayunan Falls in Barangay Alayunan, Maayon.
The remaining forest cover of the province was only 25,000 hectares, CaPENRO officer Emily Arboleda-Depon said.*
