1,000 Maayon town residents get P3K each

ONE thousand identified indigent residents of Maayon town who were affected by Severe Tropical Storm “Paeng” last year received P3,000.00 each of financial assistance from the national government
thru the facilitation of Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, March 12, at the Maayon Civic Center.

“Kahit saang parte man kayo ng Pilipinas, pupuntahan ko kayo dahil pangako ko po yan sa inyo at hindi ko po matiis na nakaupo lang sa opisina habang kayo dito
nangangailangan ng tulong basta kaya lang ng katawan ko pupuntahan ko kayo sa inyong mga lugar (I will visit you wherever you are in the country because that is my commitment and I can’t bear staying at the
comfort of my office while there are a lot who need help),” the Senator noted.

He was joined by movie actor Philip Salvador and provincial as well as municipal officials during a simple program at the civic center.

“We thank Sen. ‘Bong’ Go for the help to our town residents because, amid the
pandemic, he has the biggest help for us,” stressed Maayon town mayor Raymond Malapajo during an interaction with local
mediamen.

Malapajo also disclosed that the Senator has facilitated a financial help to about 6,000 Maayon residents in 2021 and 2022.

“We also thank him for the super health center,” he told local mediamen, adding
that he also asked from the senator for a building of the League of Municipalities of
the Philippines (LMP) – Capiz Chapter.

Malapajo is currently the LMP – Capiz Chapter president.
