The 246 recruits of Police Regional Office-6 have started their six-month Field Training Program (FTP_ in different police units in Western Visayas.
The recruits, who were part of the Class 2021-03-R6 “Pinagsanib,” were deployed in the police offices in Aklan with 18, Antique with 15, Capiz with 15, Iloilo City with 94, and Bacolod City with 104.
They will be accompanied by field training officers who will act as their mentors who will guide them in actual police duties.
Brigadier General Rolando Miranda, PRO-6 director, led the send-off ceremony at the PRO-6 headquarters at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City on July 9.
Miranda, in his message, expressed his congratulations to the recruits for accomplishing the six-month Public Safety Basic Recruit Course at the Regional Training Center 6.
“Today, the second part of your training will commence para maging isang mabuti at mahusay na alagad ng batas.Madedeploy kayo sa kalsada at sa iba’t ibang trabaho ng isang pulis sa estasyon para matuto. At sa inyong pagpapatupad ng inyong tungkulin parati ninyong alagaan ang inyong kaligtasan especially sa banta nang COVID-19,” Miranda said.
The FTP is designed to equip the new breed of cops with the right knowledge, attitude, skills, and values that will prepare them once they will be assigned to actual police work after their training.*PRO-6 photo
