317,781 register for nat’l ID

ROXAS CITY – Around 317,781 Capiznons have already registered for the national ID system, Philippine Statistics Authority Capiz provincial head Frankie Dordas said.

This is 65 percent of the target number of registrants which is at 470,000, Dordas said.

They were able to exceed the target of 300,000 registrants in May due to walk-in applicants, Dordas said.

Those who have pre-registered and have low income were prioritized.

The registration is until 2023.

Dordas also said that the registration for the national ID at Robinsons Place Roxas is temporarily stopped from June 1 to 16 due to the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine status in the city.*
