ROXAS CITY – Some 50 poor residents of Sitio Pagutok in Barangay Dayao here benefited from a gift-giving activity organized by the Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division recently.
The activity, with the support of various stakeholders, is in time for the Christmas season celebration despite the threat brought by the COVID-19.
The selected indigent families received gift packs from 3ID.
3ID commander Major General Eric Vinoya said the spirit of Christmas will continue amidst the threat brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Likewise, it is also the perfect time to show love to the less fortunate through gift-giving for them to feel the essence of Christmas, he said.
“Beyond these gifts, we want to highlight that the significance of Christmas is not just about gifts, but more importantly, it is about sharing, love, and hope,” Vinoya said. (PIA)
