ROXAS CITY — Some 471 of 473 barangays in Capiz province have already established a task force for ending local communist armed conflict.
The remaining villages without a task force are Tiza and Barangay 3.
According to the Capiz Police Provincial Office, these barangays are still in the process of putting up their task force.
The task force aims to deny the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) in recruiting, consolidating, and establishing their political structure in the barangay, Col. Julio Gustilo Jr., provincial police director, said.
The government’s whole-of-nation approach to fight against communist armed conflict focuses on the delivery of basic government services, social development packages, and construction of necessary infrastructure for inclusive development.*
