ROXAS CITY — The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has recently distributed financial aid to 49 Capiznon beneficiaries.
They received checks worth P10,000 to P20,000, depending on the category and program the beneficiary is a part of, the Capiz Kabalaka Information Center said.
For the Balik Pinas Balik Hanapbuhay program, there are 41 beneficiaries; Project Alalay sa Pag-aaral, three; OFW Dependent Scholarship Program, two; one each for the Educational Assistance Scholarship Emergencies and Educational Livelihood Assistance Program.
Deputy Administrators Mocha Uson and Faustino Sabarez III, OWWA 6 Regional Director Riza Joy Moldes led the program.
Sabarez also shared other OWWA programs such as the Tulong Puso program which allows beneficiaries to avail of P150,000 to P1,000,000 grant.
Aspiring beneficiaries are advised to go to the OWWA website, owwa.gov.ph, to apply for its different programs.
Governor Esteban Evan Contreras said that OFWs or their families can reach out to the provincial government if they need help in the process.*
