SIX Local Government Units (LGUs) in the Province of Capiz received their respective Seal of Excellence awards during the 22nd Gawad KALASAG Seal and Special Awards National Awarding Ceremony last
November 22, 2022 held at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City.
The municipalities of Dumalag and Panit-an were awarded as Beyond Compliant, while Dumarao, Jamindan, Maayon, and Tapaz were commended for being Fully Compliant.
The Search for the Seal of Gawad KALASAG acknowledges the efforts, initiatives, and good practices of the local government units and other stakeholders in the field of disaster risk reduction and
management towards promoting safety and disaster resilience.
Likewise, the Capiz Emergency Response Team (CERT) was commended by the RDRRMC 6 as a National Finalist in the Government Emergency Management and Response Team (GEMS)
Basic Search and Rescue Category. The certificate of commendation for CERT was received by Atty. Arthur John H. Biñas, Provincial Administrator.
The Province of Capiz is also a recipient of Seal of Excellence, and will receive the award on December 7, 2022 in Manila.
