On October 4, the Philippine Dental Association (PDA)-Capiz Chapter in partnership with United Laboratories (Unilab) Philippines hosted a Western Visayas PDA Dolfenal Scientific Conference at El Circulo Convention Center, Pueblo de Panay, Roxas City. According to Dr. Sharon Acepcion-Ravena, the general objectives of their association is to create, promote, enhance and maintain professional and personal unity, harmonious relationship among members, enhance further the professional knowledge and competence of their members, through seminars, exchange of ideas and other educational process which may be brought about by the continuing education programs of the chapter also to promote oral health awareness education to the community and to uphold the dignity of dentistry as a profession and a science. She also said their mission is to reach out the less privileged communities and bring about basic oral health care services and to promote camaraderie and unity among dentist throughout the province of Capiz as well as to provide continuing education, encouraging each member to take part and actively participate in the organization and render services to rural underserved communities with commitment and dedication. Through the leadership of Dr. Ravena, the PDA-Capiz chapter envisions itself as an organization geared towards serving the community where every Filipino can have access the basic and quality oral health care services. There are 180 delegates coming from the provinces of Region 6 led by its chapter president and was graced by PDA national president, Dr. Cheryl Del Rosario. Their invited speakers were Dr. Stephen Almonte who discussed about “The What, Why’s and How’s of Periodontal Surgery,” Dr. Romeo Jacob Jr. spoke about “Orthodontics Making or Breaking the Periodontal Issues” and Dr. Ronaldo Nunez, with a topic about “Esthetics and Functions of Ceramic and Composite Laminate Veneers.” Other officers of PDA Capiz chapter for the year 2022-2023 were: Dr. Jophy Cancio, vice president; Dr Rhea Caduco, secretary; Dr. Kris Valerie Feguro, assistant secretary; Dr. Mary Grace Balgos, treasurer; Dr. Francis Dominic Sevilla, assistant treasurer; Dr. Jesus Gelia Deocampo-Diaz, auditor; Dr. Lourdes De Panay, business manager; Dr. Katrina Angela Say, PRO; and board directors Dr. Gerard Burgos, Dr. Joann M.
