ROXAS CITY — Manila Archbishop Jose Advincula urged the public to get vaccinated against COVID-19 after recovering from the virus.
“Napatunayan ko na malaking bagay ang bakuna upang malabanan ang COVID-19 kaya hinihikayat ko ang lahat na magpabakuna para sa inyong kaligtasan at sa kaligtasan ng ibang tao,” Advincula said in a video message on October 9.
Advincula tested positive for COVID-19 on September 17.
“Salamat sa Diyos, sa Birheng Maria, at kay San Jose, gumaling ako sa karamdamang ito,” Advincula said.
He also thanked those who prayed for his healing and the doctors and healthcare workers who helped him
Advincula also asked the public to observe the minimum health protocols and pray for the COVID-19 patients and the frontliners.
“Sa awa ng Diyos, malalagpasan natin ang pandemiyang ito,” Advincula said.*
