ROXAS CITY — Barangay Balijuagan of this city was recently cited for its coronavirus response.
Barangay Captain Reynaldo Alforo said that the village was cited as among the top 30 barangays in the COVID-19 Unified Response and Effective Strategies in Barangays.
He said, “public service is a public trust.”
The barangay was also declared free from drugs in December 2020.
In 2018, the barangay won first place in Best Environmental Management for the Search for Excellence in Local Governance Awards Barangay Category by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Roxas city government.*
