‘BARANGAYanihan’ twits good news to villagers

The recently launched “Duterte Legacy: BARANGAYanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” in the covered gym of Brgy. Culasi here, conveyed the upcoming projects for the village as among the 12 Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) areas in the province.

“We already submitted the targeted priority programs and projects for the RCSP of Culasi to the Regional Development Council and have been passed on to the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict,” said Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Capiz provincial director John Ace Azarcon.

Azarcon, who was guest of honor and speaker of the caravan, added that the barangay will be the recipient of a water and sanitation system and infrastructure project, among others.

He was hopeful these will be included in the proposed 2022 national budget.

“For the government to be more responsive, we will address the needs of the people,” he stressed.

The caravan, spearheaded by the Capiz Police Provincial Office, provided the participants composed of marginalized fisherfolks andworkers food packs while identified children beneficiaries availed free haircut, dental service and dental care kit.

The activity also highlighted the caravan of services at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center (DRRC) here that was participated in by 18 national government agencies and Roxas City government offices. (PIA Capiz)
