ROXAS CITY—“Happy hours” are back!

At this writing, the liquor ban in Capiz has been lifted, so the public has been can now buy liquor, per Executive Order No. 16 by Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras mandating the implementation of General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in Capiz.

However, bars and pubs and similar leisure business establishments are still closed.

The ban on distribution, transportation, sale, and purchase of liquor has been lifted but consumption can only be done at home.

Drinking in public areas, sidewalk, street or places of leisure is still prohibited until further notice.

Mass gatherings like conferences, conventions, and exhibitions; festivals, celebrations, and anniversaries; religious gatherings; and tourism activities are banned too.

Only the meetings and gatherings of the province’s Inter-agency Task Force are allowed.

Contreras signed E.O. No. 1 6 on April 28.
