BJMP’s Olendo named regional Pag-asa awardee

Roxas City—The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has named Ernie Olendo of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Brgy. San Jose here one of the regional winners of the Pag-asa award under the Honor Awards Program.

At this writing, Olendo serves as the Unit Welfare & Development Officer, Livelihood Officer, Community Relation Service Officer and Escort of BJMP Roxas City. He is also part of the Outside Support Group (OSG) of the Roxas City Jail Male Dormitory.

The recognition is part of the 2020 Search for Outstanding Government Workers nationwide.

CSC’s Pag-asa Award is conferred to an individual or group of individuals “for their outstanding contribution resulting from an idea or performance that directly benefit more than one department of the government”.

According to the citation, their outstanding work “in motivating and inspiring other public servants to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service” is worthy of recognition.

Olendo and other regional awardees will be honored at the Pasidungog 2020 on Sept. 24, 2020 at the Esplanade in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

In 2019, Olendo was also nominated for the same award.
