BPO executives check Roxas City’s capability

Executives of Alorica and WorldSource, two business process outsourcing (BPO) companies,
were recently in Roxas City to check its capabilities in information technology (IT) and the BPO
sectors.
Alorica COO Rainero “Bong” Borja and WorldSource Philippines Country Head JL Botor were
both in Roxas City last January 31.
Congressional candidate Paolo Roxas reportedly invited the two BPO executives to see for
themselves what type of infrastructure Roxas City can offer. This includes how stable the
internet connection is while looking into the talent pool of Roxas City and the rest of the
province.
This is as Roxas City is one of the Digital Cities for 2025 by the Department of Information and
Communications Technology (DICT).
If the proposal pushes through, Borja and Botor assured that Alorica and World Source would
create job generation for the people of Capiz.
Other key executives who visited included PLDT First Vice President Albert Mitchell L. Locsin;
IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) CEO Jack Madrid; IBPAP
Board Member Alvin Juban; and Toon City Animation Inc. CEO Miguel del Rosario.
The management of Pueblo de Panay and the Roxas City Government also pitched to the
executives.
