ROXAS CITY — The Barangay Baybay hall is now more resilient.
Barangay Captain Rey Magallanes said the P2.8 million fund for its first phase construction came from Capiz 1st District Representative Emmanuel Billones, while the fund for the second phase, which was also P2.8 million, came from Sen. Vicente Sotto III.
Magallanes said that the barangay hall is more spacious and sturdier, as it is in a coastal area.
The barangay hall was constructed to make sure it can withstand typhoons and earthquakes, Magallanes said.
Aside from the barangay hall, Sotto also gave P2.4 million for the two-storey Baywatch tower, that is now completed.*
