CAPELCO gets triple ‘A’ for 7 straight years

THE National Electrification Administration (NEA) has rated the Capiz Electric Cooperative (CAPELCO)
a “Triple A” for seven consecutive years for sustaining its excellent performance in the areas
of technical, financial and institutional operations.
The “AAA” rating was also in compliance to NEA’s reportorial requirements.
The electric cooperative (EC) is among the 87 others out of the 121 ECs in the country that were rated “AAA” in the recently released results of the 2021 EC Overall Performance Assessment and Size Classification.
All electric cooperatives in Western Visayas also earned the same rating.
“Since 2015, CAPELCO performed well in the annual assessment conducted by NEA and has retained its size classification of being a mega large EC,” said a CAPELCO news release.
The full compliance of CAPELCO to the parameters CAPELCO gets triple ‘A’ for 7 straight years of the annual categorization was largely due to the support of the member-consumer owners (MCOs), local
officials, the proactive efforts of the Board of Directors and the dedication of the management and personnel, it added. (PR)
