CaPENRO distributes shares of tax on quarry resources

The Provincial Government of Capiz, through Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural
Resources Office (CaPENRO), recently conducted the distribution of tax shares on quarry
resources for the year 2023.
Governor Fredenil Castro underscored the pivotal role of paying accurate taxes by emphasizing
the importance of financial contributions to sustainable development.
Ronald Allan F. Cullo, acting CaPENRO chief, said nine municipalities were recognized for
adherence to the required standards and permits.
These are the municipalities of Dao, Dumarao, Jamindan, Dumalag, Tapaz, Pontevedra,
Maayon, Panitan, and Panay.
The local government units (LGUs) of these nine municipalities were given its allocation for tax
shares on quarry resources.
Atty. Maria Leobeth B. Deslate-Delicana, Provincial Legal Officer, expressed gratitude for the
collaborative efforts and commitment displayed by the municipalities and barangays, ensuring
responsible and sustainable utilization of quarry resources in the province.
The event marked a significant step towards promoting responsible resource management and
fostering community development in Capiz.
