Capiz gov is ‘Outstanding Bedan Law Alumnus’

The San Beda Law Alumni Association will confer the Outstanding Bedan Law Awards on Nov. 25 at
the Peninsula Manila in Makati City.
The awardees include Gov. Fredenil Castro who has been unanimously chosen for legal excellence
and dedicated service to the nation.
The accolade represents the highest honor bestowed upon a Bedan who has consistently exhibited
exemplary and extraordinary leadership in the service of the Filipino nation.
Gov. Castro, an international lawyer, a former Congressman of the Second District of Capiz, and a
staunch advocate for the rule of law, graduated with distinction from San Beda College of Law, and his
legal acumen has been at the forefront of his extensive career.
His dedication to the principles of justice and his unrelenting service to the Filipino people have set
him apart as a true leader.
His exceptional leadership and contributions to the legal field and the nation have earned him respect
and admiration from his peers and constituents alike. He has consistently demonstrated a
commitment to justice and public welfare that exemplifies the Bedan spirit.
Other prominent personalities who previously received the same award are the likes of former
senator and secretary of the Department of Education Hon. Raul Roco; former senator and
presidential spokesperson (1986-1987) Hon. Rene Ausgusto V. Saguisag; lawyer and diplomat Rodolfo
D. Robles; former chairman of the Commission on Elections lawyer Sixto S. Brillantes; Associate
Justice of the Supreme Court Hon. Justice Florenz D. Regalado; and former Chief Presidential Legal
Counsel Avelino Cruz, Jr.
