Capiz LGU seeks postharvest tools

ROXAS CITY—The Capiz provincial government is seeking to provide more farming equipment for local farmers.

The farming equipment would be for post-harvest facilities and agricultural machineries.

Said facilities and machines are four-wheel drive tractor, hand tractor, floating tiller, precision seeder, walk-behind transplanter, riding-type transplanter, reaper, combined harvester, mini-thresher, impeller rice mill, mechanical dryer, re-circulating dryer and shredder.

Capiz is a province with agriculture as one of its primary industries.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan recently approved a resolution to allow the Capiz LGU to seek assistance from the Philippine Center for Post-harvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech).

Approved as Resolution No. 367, it’s otherwise named as the Resolution Favorably Endorsing the Request of the honorable Governor Esteban Evan B. Contreras for the Assistance of the Philippine Center for Post-harvest Development and Mechanization (PHILMECH) for the Provision of Agricultural Machineries and Post-harvest Facilities under the Rice Mechanization Competitiveness Enhancement Fund-mechanization Program.
