Capiz needs more frontliners, seeks DOH’s help

ROXAS CITY—The Capiz provincial government is working on adding more front-liners to the Roxas Memorial Provinicial Hospital (RMPH), Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras said.

According to Contreras, besides assigning health workers from district hospitals to RMPH, they are also hiring. They have also sought help from the Department of Health for additional nurses.

Contreras said that the frontliners have to undergo quarantine after working for a week.

While there were resignations, the turnover was minimal, Contreras said.

“It’s understandable because of concerns regarding the pandemic which includes infecting their loved ones at home,” Contreras said in Capiznon.

Contreras said that proper manpower planning was done to make sure that the district hospitals would not have shortages in personnel. (Ralph John Mijares)
