Capiz PNP launches ‘CLEAR’

A group of 29 policemen was organized by the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) into the Capiz Law Enforcement and Anti-Criminality Riders (CLEAR) and was launched, December 6, at the CPPO headquarters in Camp Teodorico C. Apil in Roxas City.

The launching was graced by Police Regional Office (PRO) – 6 director Brigadier. General Flynn Dongbo, who also witnessed the donation of four motorcycle units by the Capiz provincial government and the Provincial Advisory Council for Police Transformation and Development

(PACTD).

The newly donated motorcycle units will be in addition to the 16 existing motorcycles of the CPPO.

“With the support of the local government unit and stakeholders, we should do our best. I demand obedience of your duty,” said Dongbo, adding that policemen should work with the community for the development of a locality.

The CLEAR project was created to boost crime prevention and solution efforts of the CPPO.

The cop riders are from the 1st and 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company as well as some local police stations and will be under the operation and control of the CPPO’s Provincial Operation Management Unit.

Majority of the CLEAR policemen have trained on Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) and Basic Motor Riders Seminar.

The group’s mission is to prevent criminalities, go after illegal drugs targets, avert activities of motorcycle riding criminals and ensure heightened police visibility in strategic areas. (PIA Capiz)
