ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO), in collaboration with Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP), will kick off the “Duterte Legacy: BARANGAYanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” on October 29 in Brgy. Culasi, Roxas City.
CPPO Public Information Officer Maj. Ruby Magallanes said that at least 13 agencies will participate in the caravan to provide their services to the marginalized fisherfolks and workers.
These are the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment, TESDA, PAGCOR, Land Transportation Office, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Statistics Authority, Land Transportation office, Public Attorneys Office, Armed Forces of the Philippines and PNP.
“After the kick off ceremony, we will continue the caravan every week,” she said during a meeting of the Capiz Association of Government Public information Officers, Inc. (CAGPIO).
She added that the PNP will distribute food packs, slippers, hygiene kits and lunch and snacks for the beneficiaries aside from the supplemental feeding and free hair cut services.
A simple program will officially kick off the “BARANGAYanihan” that will be followed by the service caravan.
Last September 30, the Duterte Legacy: BARANGAYanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery, which was launched nationwide, was also in Western Visayas particularly in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
