Col. Jerome Afuyog Jr., Capiz Provincial Police Office director, led the “Salamat Kapatid” program to honor the six retired personnel of the provincial police at Camp Teodorico C. Apil, Brgy. Lanot, Roxas City, on November 10.
Honored were Cpt. Rene Hare, Lt. Francisco Umiten Jr., PEMS Joann De Vicente, PEMS Benjie Olisco, SSg. Rodrigo Dunton and SSg. Rey Castillo.
In his speech, Afuyog emphasized the importance of recognizing and honoring the contributions of retired police personnel because their experience and wisdom are invaluable assets to the police force.
He also encouraged the retirees to continue their involvement in community service and serve as mentors to the young police officers.
The event concluded with a heartfelt farewell and expressions of gratitude from the retirees themselves.*
