Capiz police remind motorcycle riders to wear helmet while driving

The Capiz Provincial Police Office has again reminded the motorcycle riders to wear their helmets for their safety.

Col. Julio Gustilo Jr., provincial police director, said the police continue its proactive and preventive approach to ensure the safety of motorists, passengers, and pedestrians through its information drive.

In 2020, 1,437 vehicular accidents were recorded in the province.

“I am reminding once again motorcycle riders, civilians, and the police to wear the standard helmet when driving motorcycle because the law mandates it and it is for the safety of motorcycle riders and back riders,” he said.

He also urged the public “to help the police in disseminating information on road safety tips in their respective localities and cooperate as well in the reporting traffic violators so we can reduce the number of vehicular accidents in Capiz.”*
