Capiz prov’l gov’t gives FRs financial assistance

GOV. FREDENIL H. CASTRO handed over the P10,000 financial assistance of the Capiz provincial government to each of the three former rebels (FRs), recently, at the Provincial Capitol in Roxas City.
The beneficiaries were presented to the governor by 12th Infantry Battalion Civil Military Operations Officer 1Lt. Dutch Herald Magon and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Nieva
Camposano.

Castro welcomed the FRs as he conveyed his gladness on their decision to surrender and embrace a peaceful and productive life again.

From January 1 to November this year, the Capiz Police Provincial Office has neutralized 49 Communist
Terrorist Group members and its mass supporters.
These include seven CTG members arrested, 20 rebels who surrendered to authorities and 22 CTG mass supporters who have withdrawn support from the communist group.
The government also has the Enhanced-Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), a complete package of assistance for the FRs.
The national program is locally implemented to address the legal status and security of FRs as well as their economic, social and psychological rehabilitation needs. It also provides immediate to long term interventions that are supported by strengthened institutions to ensure effective implementation and attainment of the desired outcomes. (PIA Capiz)
