Capiz seeks DBM funding on P103-M road projects

ROXAS CITY — The Capiz provincial government is seeking the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to fund its P103 million worth of road projects.

The proposal involved six road concreting projects and one reconstruction road project.

The said projects include the concreting of Concencia-Tinigban-Maayon provincial road in Panitan-Maayon worth P32,000,000; concreting of Calitan-Candual-Loctugan provincial road in Panay worth P32,000,000; concreting of Bunga-Pawa provincial road in Panay worth P14,000,000;

Concreting of Sitio Agbabadiang, Barangay Calaan farm-to-market road in Panitan worth P5,000,000; concreting of Barangay Capagao farm-to-market road in Panitan worth P5,000,000; and concreting of Viscaya farm-to-market road in President Roxas worth P5,000,000.

Also included in the proposal was the road reconstruction project, including drainage, at Barangay Ilawod in Pontevedra worth P10,000,000.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan has already approved the resolution endorsing the proposed projects to DBM Secretary Wendel Avisado for funding, under its Local Government Support Fund-Other Financial Assistance to Local Government Units in the amount of P103 million.*
