About 43,000 vendors and members of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association in Capiz are recipients of P3,000.00 each from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) financial aid as national government subsidy to COVID-19 pandemic affected beneficiaries.
The distribution of the money grant kicked off on August 19 in the municipalities of Dumarao, Cuartero and Ivisan that was graced by DSWD Assistant Secretary Victor Neri, Governor Esteban Evan Contreras and Senator Go’s OIC Political Affairs Officer Mae Samantha Dela Peña, among others.
Contreras has conveyed his appreciation to Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, Sen. Bong Go and the DSWD officials for the P130,479,000 worth of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) for the Capiceños.
“The pandemic has greatly affected the livelihood of our vendors and tricycle operators and drivers that prompted us to ask for assistance from the national government for which we are thankful that Capiz is included for the financial aid,” he said. (PIA Capiz)
