As the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) eyes to ban encrypted messaging platform Telegram, an exposé identified a Capizeño college student of a university in Roxas City as the mastermind of online services offering sexual content.
In the website Medium, a cybersecurity group utilized an open-source intelligence (OSINT) to identify Yvan Dale Lastimoso as the one running the Pinay Leaks content.
The article narrated how OSINT Bastion was able to track Lastimoso’s digital footprints as the operator of KingSodaViper Premium due to a series of operational blunders by its administrator.
“Digital anonymity is fragile, and operational security requires absolute discipline,” the OSINT Bastion report stated.
Lastimoso was unmasked after OSINT Bastion members posed as customers and traced payments made via GCash.
The investigation revealed that the syndicate operated like a commercial cartel, managing over 25 specialized Telegram channels with an archive of more than 17,000 sexual photos and videos.
The network reportedly utilized a tracking ID system to catalog victims by name or school and charged subscribers up to ₱500 for lifetime access to the illicit sexual content.
The breakthrough occurred when GCash transaction logs revealed the name “YVN DAE L.”, which analysts successfully cross-referenced with a TikTok account using the same alias.
A photo on the suspect’s personal profile showed him wearing a sports jersey with the surname “Lastimoso,” while secondary payment accounts were linked to his mother, Melba Lastimoso.
The scale of the operation, allegedly involving partnerships with other online syndicates such as Team Lapagan PH, reveals a sophisticated criminal enterprise targeting the privacy of thousands of Filipino women and minors.
It is unclear if legal cases have been filed against Lastimoso, who allegedly stopped attending classes.
Meanwhile, OSINT Bastion is urging victims of the KingSodaViper network to come forward and report to authorities.
By providing testimonies and evidence, complainants can help turn these digital leads into formal criminal prosecutions to ensure that those behind large-scale image-based sexual exploitation are held accountable under the law.
