A Capiznon vlogger is in the center of a political storm that is ripping apart supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte with her accusations against a former Malacañang protocol officer.
Maharlika (Claire Contreras in real life) has a series of bombshells when she accused a woman—later identified by netizens as Jasmin Egan—of being a traitor to Duterte.
The Capiznon vlogger has viciously attacked Egan as a “double agent” while being in an alleged love triangle between Duterte’s common-law-wife Honeylet Avanceña and a lady politician from Cagayan de Oro.
Maharlika’s online bombshells have made former presidential daughters Vice President Sara Duterte and Veronica “Kitty” Duterte to react.
Vice President Duterte issued a statement that it is wise for her father never to have remarried while Kitty Duterte challenged the woman in question to have a confrontation face-to-face.
In posts with a combined views of more than 1 million and counting, Maharlika slammed Egan for taking advantage of Duterte in disguise of producing a documentary film on the life of the former president.
Maharlika also slammed Egan for allegedly behaving as if she is still a protocol officer of Malacañang.
More so, Maharlika questioned who is funding Egan as the latter has been back and forth to The Hague in support of Duterte since the former president was arrested by the International Criminal Court (ICC) last March.
Egan, who hails from Negros Occidental, is reportedly married to one of the heirs of the Yanson Group of Companies, the country’s biggest bus conglomerate and operator of Ceres buses.
Maharlika even dubbed her posts as “Tele Ceres” in reference to the popular Ceres buses.
Maharlika and her posts have drawn interests among the public and how the power of social media personalities can sway political opinions.
