Reinforcing its strong position in innovation and intellectual property (IP) development, Capiz State University (CAPSU) was once again conferred the prestigious Platinum Award during the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) Presidents’ Summit 2026 held in Iloilo City recently.
Organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), the summit anchored on the theme “15 Years of Strengthening the Philippine TISCs: Innovation and Creativity Toward Sustainable Technology Transfer,” gathering higher education institutions and key stakeholders nationwide to celebrate milestones in intellectual property management and technology transfer.
The award was received by Prof. French A. Dampog, Director of the Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO), on behalf of University President Dr. Efren L. Linan, together with Ms. Mae Ann L. Lavado, IPMO staff.
Further affirming its commitment to safeguarding creative outputs, CAPSU also earned a Special Citation for Copyright Application, recognizing the University’s proactive initiatives in strengthening its intellectual property portfolio.
During the summit, CAPSU showcased selected technologies and actively engaged with fellow institutions in discussions on IP protection and commercialization strategies.
