Filamer Christian University (FCU) recently held its highly
anticipated coronation night, where nine stunning candidates
from various departments and colleges competed for the title of
Miss Filamer Christian University 2023 at the FCU gym on
November 17.
The event was filled with elegance, ability, and beauty. The
contestants walked with grace and confidence in their festival
attire, swimsuits, and evening gowns. The audience erupted in
yells and blasts, creating an electric atmosphere.
Special awards
Miss Mardebb and Miss Sky High were awarded to Catherene Mae
Capoor from the College of Teacher Education (CTE); Miss Beauty
Getaway and Miss Friendship were awarded to Judy Ann M. Lema
from the Graduate School; Miss Dolce Via and Miss Photogenic
were won by Mary Avegaile I. Erodias from the Senior High
School Department (SHS); Miss Ferds was awarded to Aaliaa
Shristi Sharma from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS); Miss
Popularity was gained by Franchez Kyla M. Sonza from the
College of Nursing (CN); and Miss Personality was received by
Precious Friah Antonia Bernabe from the Junior High School
Department (JHS).
In the preliminary interview portion, the nine candidates exuded
their knowledge and intelligence by answering questions about
present societal issues.
Moreover, shortlisted participants received minor awards, Aaliaa
Shristi Sharma of CAS won “Best in Swimsuit” and “Best in
Evening Gown,” Catherene Mae A. Capoor of CTE claimed “Best in
Production Number,” and Franchez Kyla M. Sonza was awarded as
“Best in Interview.”
Top 5
The top 5 candidates showcased their intelligence in the final
round of the question and answer portion. Each of them
answered confidently, as the support blasted from the audiences.
Ultimately, Aaliaa Shristi Sharma representing the College of Arts
and Sciences (CAS) outshone the rest with her remarkable
beauty and intelligence. She was crowned the new Miss Filamer
Christian University 2023.
In addition, Judy Ann M. Lema was adjudged the new Miss FCU
Alumni Association Inc. 2023, and Catherene Mae A. Capoor of
the College of Teacher Education (CTE) was chosen Miss FCU
Student Republic 2023. Franchez Kyla M. Sonza from the College
of Nursing (CN) was the 1st runner up, while Precious Friah
Antonia Bernabe from the Junior High School Department (JHS)
won 2nd runner up.*
