Castro to pursue unfinished hospital in Roxas

CAPIZ Gov. Fredinel Castro is planning to pursue the unfinished hospital in Brgy Lanot, Roxas City.
Its construction started 12 years ago.
Castro has directed the Provincial Engineer’s Office to send a notice to the contractor that the provincial government is terminating its services, and that a bidding will be conducted for the completion of the said health facility.
He said, “I do not know where the money for the said hospital construction (went), but I will see to it that if ever the same contractor will win in the bidding and would not show good improvement within two weeks, the same will be terminated.”
The governor is determined to have the hospital completed the soonest time possible because the present Pres. Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital is overcrowded due to the influx of patients all over the province.
“We will strictly monitor the development of the construction of the hospital in Brgy. Lanot so we can somehow address the people needing services of our health facility,” Castro stressed.*
