For the first time, Capiz became one of the regional venues of this year’s multi-arts festival of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) for the annual National Arts Month.
The Pasinaya 2026: Paglikha sa Kinabukasan was held in the capital of Roxas City as well as in the towns of Sigma, Cuartero, and Panay last February 7-8, 2025.
Governor Fredenil “Oto” Castro said the provincial hosting was able to reaffirm the commitment of Capiz to preserve the varied arts and culture that shape Filipino creativity and identity.
Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Al Tesoro explained that the Pasinaya in Capiz is organized by the CCP’s Cultural Exchange Department headed by Carmencita Bernardo and the Capiz Provincial Government under the Castro adminsitration.
The Pasinaya is also backed by the local government units of Sigma, Cuartero and Panay.

• Capiz State University Main Dance Troupe
• Arnel Heremias – Capisnon Local Artist, Multi-instrumentalist
• Rennel Lavilla – Panay Bukidnon Community of Tapaz, Capiz
• Cuartero National High School Taliamba Ensemble
• Commissioner Luis R. Asis National High School Cuerdas de Panay Rondalla
The Pasinaya also featured other performances from other groups across the Visayas including the Kasing Sining Bohol, the Leyte Dance Theater, the Artes Bailes Iloilo, the Mandaue Children’s Choir, the Tugtog Himig ng Kabataan Angklung Ensemble of Sta. Barbara, the Taliamba Ensemble, and the Sayaw kay San Antonio.
Aside from performances, there were also art exhibitions and showcase of local culinary arts.
