ROXAS CITY — All cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbaria in the country, including Capiz, will be closed from October 29 to November 2.
Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras, in Executive Order 27, said the closure of the cemeteries during the Undas is to lessen the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Owners of these establishments were asked to have sufficient security personnel to ensure the implementation of the closure.
On other days, before and after the Undas, cemeteries can operate at a 30 percent capacity or a number wherein physical distancing of two meters can still be observed.
Other health protocols such as wearing face masks and face shields should be practiced in these areas, too.
The management of these places is encouraged to show contact information like phone numbers, email addresses, Facebook and Twitter accounts in conspicuous places so the public can easily coordinate with them for their visits.
Local government units operating cemeteries must also have a designated person for coordination requests.
Gambling and drinking intoxicating substances are prohibited in these places.*
