According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), the Province of Capiz is fully ready for the May 12, 2025 polls.
Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Salud Milagros Villanueva said the 539,459 registered voters will be able to vote in 468 voting centers located across 473 barangays.
There are 392 clustered precincts in the 1st District composed of Maayon, Panay, Panitan, Pilar, Pontevedra, President Roxas, and Roxas City.
There are 381 clustered precincts in the 2nd District composed of Cuartero, Dao, Dumalag, Dumarao, Ivisan, Jamindan, Mambusao, Sapian, Sigma, and Tapaz.
The provincial capital of Roxas City has the most number of registered votes with 112,738.
Tapaz, the biggest town in the province, has 37,000 registered voters.
Roxas City Elections Officer Atty. Rommel Benliro said the automated counting machines (ACMs) to be used for the election have already arrived.
On the other hand, the Department of Education (DepEd) has 2,319 teachers as electoral boards, 468 DepEd supervisors and 735 DepEd support staff.
