ROXAS CITY — Community pantries have emerged in Capiz.
The initiative encouraged the people to get free food items.
In Roxas City, the JCI Roxas Makawiwili has set up its own community pantry to help those in need.
JCI Roxas Makawiwili president Joan Adonay said they were inspired by the Maginhawa Community Pantry.
“As long as donations keep coming in, our pantries will continue. We are overwhelmed by the number of donations coming in, from the public and private sectors.
In Panitan, lawyer Remia Fuentes-Bartolome, the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and teachers of Panitan National High School have come together for the community pantry.
