Cops seize P1-M shabu, gun in Roxas

Around P1 million worth of suspected shabu and an unlicensed firearm were recovered from an 18-year-old teenager during a drug buy-bust operation in Roxas City last Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

The operatives identified the drug pusher only as “John Lester” or as alias “Jan-Jan” of Barangay New Road, Banica.

The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU-6) of the Police Regional Office (PRO-6) recovered from his possession 11 sachets of suspected shabu that was worth nearly P1 million.

The drug pusher also yielded a 12-gauge shotgun with magazine and three (3) live ammunitions.

Police Captain Ryan Inot, RPDEU-6 team leader, said it took one month of monitoring and surveillance before the drug-bust was conducted after getting tips from concerned residents.

Considered as a high-valued drug pusher, the suspect is said to be working with a certain “Renante” in distributing the suspected shabu.

It is believed that the suspect has been using shabu since he was 15-years-old and may belong to an organized drug group.

The suspect is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Act.
