DAR ASec visits Capiz

ROXAS CITY –  Agrarian Reform Assistant Secretary John Laña was in Capiz province recently to tackle developments under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

He was welcomed by DAR personnel from various field offices in the province led by Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) Anthony Arostique.

In a meeting, Laña said that government land is included in the CARP distribution, adding that zero backlogs on litigation cases resulted in red tape and the provision of common service facilities to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs).

He also announced his plan to conduct nationwide capability building for DAR information officers and to improve  DAR’s website for better access to information and communication.

Arostique, meanwhile, gave updates on the accomplishments of DAR-Capiz including the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Awards.

He also appealed to Laña for the streamlining of requirements in availing legal assistance for DAR employees.

Furthermore, he announced their plan to institutionalize DAR-Media partnership in the province through a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to intensify information dissemination of DAR activities and accomplishments.*
