Dr. Juan “Jed” Enriquez Dayang, Jr. and Maria “Cesca” Canlas de Leon united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony that was officiated by His Eminence Jose Fuerte Cardinal Advincula Jr. on Jan. 21 at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila.
Dayang is a career minister of the Department of Affairs. He is currently assigned as chief of mission in North Africa – covering Libya, Tunis, Alger, and Niger – based at the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, Libya. He previously served at the Philippine Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic, and Philippine Embassy in Seoul, South Korea.
De Leon, who is known as Cesca, is the only daughter of Jose Renato De Leon and Carmen Amelita Canlas De Leon of Quezon City. Her late grandfather was former Assemblyman and Deputy Minister of Public Work, Engr. Aber Canlas. She is presently the operating manager of her family business enterprises.
