DepEd–Capiz asks to utilize savings for other schools’ repair

OF the P23,072,898 budget allocated for the repair of the 10 public schools in Capiz, a total of P7,081,556 was unspent.
Engr. Marlon Clarito, Division Engineer of DepEd- Capiz division, said they have requested the DepEd central office to utilize the said savings for the repair of other schools, particularly in Minoro Elem. School in Mambusao East, and Caid-quid Elem School in Mambusao West. Schools that received a budget include Canaplan Integrated School in Maayon with P2,018,622.53; Tanza Norte Elem. School in Panay – P1,430,955.39; Cogon Elem. School and Jesus Gonzalo Albana Elem. School in Panitan – P1,078,685.29; Yating National High School in Pilar – P,502,821.34; Manoling Elem. School in Pres. Roxas – P1,940,303.75; San Juan Elem. School in Dumarao – P1,561,044.99; Buri-as Elem. School in Mambusao – P2,243,302.07; Bula Elem. School in Mambusao – P3,338, 145.57; and Bangkal Elem. School in Sapi-an – P881,481.57.
The budget was set for the repair of roofs, ceilings, doors, electrical lines, and painting jobs.*
