The Department of Labor and Employment in Western Visayas said it is ready to assist unvaccinated workers who experienced discrimination in their workplace.
DOLE-6 regional director Sixto Rodriguez Jr., in a recent interview, said that the public “can call me or visit the office” if they experienced such discrimination.
However, he urged workers in the private sector to have themselves vaccinated against COVID-19 to “ensure a healthy workplace and for the safety of their families.”
He asked though to prohibit discrimination of those who fail or refuse to do so.
He clarified that his office has yet to receive any complaints of discrimination against unvaccinated workers.
“This shows that the employers and the employees understand the importance of vaccination in the promotion of a healthy workplace,” he said.*
