EVEN with the request of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Capiz to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to suspend temporarily the implementation of Tulong Panghanap Buhay Para ating
Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program,
DOLE-Capiz will continue to implement it as they have not receive any order from the central office to stop its implementation.
This was stressed by Amalia Judicpa of DOLE-Capiz during the SP session on June 14.
Board member Jonathan Sonny Besa said the decision of the SP to request DOLE to suspend the implementation of TUPAD program stemmed from the complaints they
received from the benefi ciaries, who were suppose to receive P4,500, but allegedly got
P1,000 only because of P2,000 deduction for the cooperative they will organize.
