The opening week of the 2024 Capiztahan Festival resulted in cops arresting live-in partners in Roxas City for their alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
The police identified the drug suspects as 29-year-old Paolo Aranza and his 28-year-old live-in partner Mary Nhel Castillo.
The April 13, 2024 buy-bust operation in Sitio San Juan, Barangay Baybay resulted in the seizure of suspected shabu valued at P578,000.
During the arrest, cops recovered 17 sachets of suspected shabu as well as drug paraphernalia from the duo.
Aranza and Castillo are facing charges of violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
