Atleast 79 beneficiaries of the Department of Trade and Industry’s “Pangkabuhayan para sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa” in Capiz province received livelihood assistance recently.
The beneficiaries consisted of 34 residents from President Roxas, 11 from Pontevedra, eight from Panay, eight from Roxas City, 17 from Sigma, and one from Mambusao.
They were given livelihood assistance amounting to P15,000 each for their enterprise funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Sustainable Livelihood Program (DSWD-SLP).
The program was made possible through the collaboration of the DTI and DSWD field offices in Region 6.
DTI endorsed their registered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for possible livelihood intervention and rehabilitation of businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The payout took place in their respective local government units with the assistance of the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines.
It was also graced by their respective LGU officials and SLP Regional Program Management Office staff.*
