DSWD warns against aid deductions, delisting of names

The Department of Social Welfare and Development warned the public to be wary of individuals or
groups duping cash aid beneficiaries to receive less than the amount intended.
In a public advisory amid reports of this duping activity, DSWD 6 Regional Director lawyer Carmelo
Nochete issued the said warning for the beneficiaries and the general public not to be swayed
following reports received by his office in relation to the distribution of the Aid to Individuals in Crisis
Situation (AICS) program.
kwalipikadong indibidwal na nasa krisis na sitwasyon,” said Nochete in the advisory.
Notchete stressed that the aid beneficiaries receive is solely intended for them and must not be
reduced or deducted.

The DSWD6 chief also emphasized that the department does not endorse any politician or party list;
thus, the public must not be swayed by the threat of removing their names from the list of
beneficiaries.
stressed.
