A day-long “Diskwento Caravan” was held by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office at the Cultural Center in Mambusao town on November 25.
The Christmas edition marketing event gathered Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and craft sectors as well as major distributors of basic and prime commodities to make goods accessible to the public at discounted prices especially amid the health crisis.
The DTI project seeks to ease the financial burden of the consumers and provides an additional or alternative market for manufacturers and producers especially the MSMEs.
The initiative was also in time with the town’s religious fiesta in honor of its Patroness Saint Catherine of Alexandria but the feast–elated merrymaking activities were shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (PIA)
